California Dream

I don't know why real estate agents contact me but this happens very often, and this very painting was also done for a real estate agent. I call it “California Dream”. The artwork exudes the allure of a majestic residence perched along the Pacific Highway in the Los Angeles area. The focal point of the painting is an exquisite mansion, its grandeur befitting a three-million-dollar price tag. Commanding a breathtaking view of the ocean, the house stands as a testament to the allure of coastal living. To convey the sense of opulence and depth, I employed thicker brushstrokes and impasto techniques, adding texture and a tactile quality to the canvas. When I saw the residence for the first time, it reminded me of a Spanish villa, evoking a sense of Mediterranean charm and elegance. This influence is reflected in the architectural details and the warm, sun-kissed tones that permeate the composition. I also decided to add vibrant flowers to infuse the scene with bursts of color and vitality, bringing the painting to life. Another element I decided to add to the scene is the majestic palm tree, paying homage to the ubiquitous symbol of Southern California.

Working on this painting I immersed myself in the captivating world of upscale coastal living. I couldn’t but admire the place where opulence meets natural beauty, where the timeless allure of the ocean melds seamlessly with architectural sophistication. In fact, this painting invites the viewers to embrace the essence of a Californian dream. It is a celebration of coastal elegance, vibrant flora, and the serenity found in the interplay of architecture and nature along the iconic Pacific Highway.
